Route

Via Leeuwarden (trainstation) or Dokkum one travels to Holwerd.
The ferry leaves there from the peer to Ameland.
There is a parking for people who want to leave their car on the mainland.

Travelling by ferry at itself is an attraction.
Enjoy the view when the weather is nice or eat and drink at one of the tables in the restaurant.
Make reservations as soon as possible, not only if you come with your own means of transport but groups also. Full is full!

Ferry to hostel

Coming from the ferry in Nes it is easy to reach the hostel by foot, car, bicycle or public transport.
The distance from the ferry is about 3 Km, just follow the traficsigns " Buren". The busstop is just in front of the house!
If you want to take the bus, it is wise to make a reservation at buscompany Arriva: www.arriva.nl

Walking and cycling the most beautiful route is via the dyke, with a magnificent view over the Waddensea.
The distance is about 4 Km. From the dyke you walk via de Reeweg into the Willibrordusstraat in.
At the end you turn to the right into the Hoofdweg. Take the first farm entrance at the left, number 3. 
 

Bicycle rental

You can rent bicycles and most of the businesses offer special service to groups: take the bicycle at the peer in Nes and they transport your luggage to the hostel. Also they bring back the luggage to ferry. Make a reservation in time!
